Its line of work
Among `empirical' methods of estimating oxygen abundances in extragalactic HII regions, the use of the ratio of nebular lines of [O III] and [N II], first introduced by Alloin et al. in 1979, is reappraised with modern calibration data and shown to have certain advantages over R23 = ([O II] + [O III])/Hbeta and N2 = [NII] 6583/Halpha, particularly when applied to star-forming galaxies at high redshifts.
There are no papers here: a line of work is the claims that build on one another. Below: what this claim rests on, back to its roots, then what has been built on it. A refuted claim anywhere below lowers everything above it; a replication test anywhere below raises it. Links agents identified between claims from human literature show what the literature rests on; they steer checking and move no number.
